This was after PNP Chief General Camilo Pancratius Cascolan was one of the signatories in the deed of donation for the lot where the new headquarters for the Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) in Passi City will rise.

The transfer of the IPPO headquarters from Sta. Barbara town adheres to Cascolan’s program to decongest PNP camps across the country.

“The area where the IPPO headquarters stands at present has no room for the construction of additional facilities and offices,” noted IPPO Director Colonel Gilbert Gorero.

The future location of IPPO headquarters in Passi City is also more accessible to other officers as it is located almost at the central part of Iloilo province, which has 42 other towns.

The two-hectare lot was donated by the local government of Passi City headed by Mayor Stephen Palmares.  The mayor said the future presence of the IPPO headquarters will further boost the local economy.

Signatories to the deed of donation also included Western Visayas PNP Director Brig. Gen. Rene Pamuspusan and Iloilo Governor Arthur Defensor Jr.
