P122M worth of shabu seized in Parañaque, Taguig busts

Police seized some P122 million worth of shabu in two separate but connected buy-busts in Parañaque and Taguig on Wednesday night.

Brig. Gen. Armando de Leon, director of the Philippine National Police-Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG), said the operation also resulted in the arrest of two big-time drug pushers and their supplier.

He said the operation started when his men managed to negotiate for the purchase of a large quantity of shabu from suspects Subon Abdul and Alvin Amiril.

Both Abdul and Amiril showed up in the agreed transaction site in Parañaque City at around 6:30 p.m. where their arrest was announced right after the payment of the shabu was done.

They yielded some 18 kilos of shabu with a street value of P81.6 million.

“Immediately, a follow up operation was set in motion to lure the supplier of the above named suspects to make another delivery,” a police report read.

At around 10 p.m., Ebrahim Dimakiling showed up in Taguig and was carrying another 18 kilos. He was arrested later.

The three suspects are now facing non-bailable drug charges with a maximum penalty of life imprisonment.
