DAVAO CITY - The number of active cases in Davao region has surpassed the 700-mark on Wednesday after the DOH Davao Center for Health Development reported 92 new cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Davao region now has a total of 722 active cases and a cumulative total of 3,771 recorded cases of COVID-19.
The DOH said of these new cases "46 are from Davao City, 22 are from Davao del Sur, 21 are from Davao del Norte, two are from Davao Occidental, and one is from Davao Oriental."
Among those who tested positive on Tuesday was a five-day old girl from Barangay Ilang and an 87-year-old woman from Barangay 28-C.
The region also recorded four deaths on Wednesday bringing to 129 the total number of recorded COVID-19 deaths. Three of them are from Davao City, and one from Davao Oriental.
Meanwhile, the DOH said there were 57 recoveries reported, including 46 from Davao City, five from Davao del Sur, and two each from Davao del Norte, Davao Occidental and Davao Oriental. The region has a total of 2,920 reported recoveries.
