SAN ILDEFONSO, Bulacan – Seven minors were rescued from a prostitution den by the Bulacan police at the TRS KTV located along the Cagayan Valley Road in Barangay Sapang Putol this town on Wednesday (October 14) at around 9:45 p.m.

Colonel Lawrence B. Cajipe, Bulacan police director, said that three of its maintainers were arrested. They were identified as Enrique Salonga alias Iking (operator), Bienvenido Del Rosario, and Clariza Flores (both pimps).

Cajipe said the Bulacan police has remained zealous in all its efforts to bring before the bars of justice scrupulous individuals who take advantage of the crisis situation and lure innocent and vulnerable civilians to become victims of abuse.

He said the operation was conducted by the joint forces of the Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU) together with the Bulacan PPO WCPD, San Ildefonso police, and the Regional Department of Social Welfare Development (DSWD) after they received information from concerned citizens that the KTV bar is being used as a prostitution den.

Six of the seven minors are females who were reportedly being catered to customers for sexual favors while the rescued 16-year-old male served as the cashier at the prostitution den.

A case for violation of RA 9208 as amended by RA 10364 is being prepared against the three arrested suspects for filing in court. However, the rescued minors are temporarily being sheltered by the DSWD.
