All health workers at Ospital ng Sampaloc who contracted the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) have already recovered as of Tuesday evening.

The Manila Public Information Office (MPIO) made the announcement on Facebook, citing data from the Manila Health Department and Infection Prevention and Control Committee (IPCC).

Dr. Aileen Lacsamana, Ospital ng Sampaloc director, thanked the city government for providing the health workers with medicine and giving the hospital some medical equipment to improve its COVID-19 response.

IPCC Head Dr. Manuel Sotello III said the health workers’ speedy recovery can be attributed to their compassion for one another.

“Istriktong pagbabantay sa kanilang kalusugan at pananagutan ng bawat kawani sa isa’t isa ang naging susi upang makamit ito ng Ospital ng Sampaloc (Strictly observing their health and the sense of responsibility of hospital staff for each other was the key to how Ospital ng Sampaloc achieved this),” he said.

The Ospital ng Sampaloc management reminded Manila city residents to continue observing the government-issued health and safety protocols to prevent catching the deadly disease.
