A plumber who was hired to do water leak repairs at a police station in Quezon City was arrested after he was reportedly caught with suspected shabu at the station’s kitchen Saturday night.

Police identified the suspect as Peter Bryan De Leon, 42, resident of Barangay Kamuning, Quezon City. He was tapped to repair water leak lines at Eastwood Police Station in Barangay Bagumbayan, Quezon City.

Investigation showed that at around 6:30 p.m., two police officers who were conducting routine area security inspection caught De Leon holding a sachet of suspected shabu and a lighter at the station’s kitchen.

The plumber, who was apparently caught off-guard, seemed uneasy and hurriedly hid the items.

De Leon was arrested after he was asked to empty his pocket and yielded a sachet of suspected shabu and a lighter.

The plumber is now under police custody and will be facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
