Locsin was invited along with Indonesian Special Envoy and Coordinator for Cooperation with China Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan and Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif for a two-day official visit to Beijing.

The Department of Foreign Affairs did not immediately respond to queries about the secretary’s agenda in the Chinese capital.

In an earlier Senate budget hearing, the country’s top diplomat said he will fly to China but did provide any details about his official trip.
