The Korean Cultural Center (KCC), the cultural arm of the Korean Embassy in the Philippines, has launched the “K-Healing: Overcome Together” to honor Filipino frontliners for their sacrifices and hard work amid the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.

KCC explained that the campaign aims to show appreciation to all the modern-day heroes and share their stories of courage and sacrifice.

Under the “K-Healing: Overcome Together,” anyone can nominate a Filipino frontline hero, who, if selected, will receive a K-Healing Package, consisting of exclusive goods and merchandise from renowned Korean brands.

The campaign, in partnership with Smart, is open to Filipinos residing in the Philippines and the nationwide nomination period is until October 31. All nominations must be submitted on or before October 31, 2020, 11:59 p.m. Only entries completed through the link https://tinyurl.com/khealingnominations will be considered valid.

Participants can nominate one frontliner for the individual category or a group of frontliners like restaurant crew, barangay officials, and hospital nurses for the group category with a maximum of 50 people. Participants can also nominate themselves or their group.

In the nomination form, participants must explain why they chose to nominate the frontliner (group or individual) and why they deserve to receive a K-Healing Package from KCC.

The entry must be written in English and must not exceed 500 words. Nominators are required to include photos and they are encouraged to send videos to further support their entry. Only one entry per person is allowed.

Chosen nominees will receive a K-Healing Package from KCC. Nominators can select one of the five K-Healing Packages: K-Pop, K-Drama & Movie, K-Food, K-Language, and K-Beauty & Fashion.

KCC will review each entry to find “the most heartfelt stories of inspiration, courage, and resilience; stories that embody the proud values of ‘bayanihan.’” For the individual category, KCC will select 10 nominees and 15 for the group category.

Selected entries will be announced on November 7 at 5 p.m. through KCC’s official social media accounts. Selected nominees will also be notified via email and through the contact number provided in their nomination form. They can expect to receive their K-Healing Packages from November 9 to 20.
