Napolcom Vice Chairman and Executive Officer Rogelio Casurao said the move will pave the way for the conduct of the Computer-Assisted Examination (NAPOLCOM CAEx) from October 12 to December 11 this year.

But he was quick to clarify that those who would be entertained are the entrance examinees whose applications were processed for the April 26, 2020 PNP Entrance Examination while those who would be prioritized are examinees who will reach the age of 31 years old in April 2021.

The examination dates are as follows: October 12, 14, 16, 19, 21 and 23; November 4, 6, 9, 11, 13, 16, 18, 20, 23, 25 and 27; and December 2, 4, 7, 9 and 11, 2020.

Casurao said the period of filing of application is also on the said dates, adding that they will not allow no walk-in applicants.

“Applicants may choose the desired date of examination and fill out the mandatory fields. Those with confirmed schedules shall be sent an auto-generated email informing them to access the link and enter all the required information in the application form,” said Casurao.

He said the applicants should personally file their application at the Examination Division One-stop Shop, 7th Floor, DILG-NAPOLCOM Center, EDSA corner Quezon Avenue, Quezon City from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. on their scheduled appointment/examination date.

An examination fee is Php 600 will be charged.

Civilian applicants must bring the following: 1) emailed confirmation slip, filled-out application form and index card;  2) two recent, identical and color 1”x1” ID pictures with white background and complete name tag (for PNP members, the name tag should indicate the rank before the name); 3) one legal size window envelope; 4) authenticated transcript of scholastic record with Special Order issued by CHED and diploma; 5) birth certificate in security paper issued by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) or certified true copy of the birth certificate issued by the Local Civil Registrar and duly authenticated by the PSA; 6) any valid two (2) Government issued IDs with signature (SSS, GSIS, Voter’s, Postal, Passport, Driver’s License, PRC, etc.), strictly “No I.D., No Processing;” 7) Medical Certificate that the examinee is COVID-19 Free issued by the Municipal/City/Provincial Health Office within 72 hours prior to the examination day; 8) Letter of intent to take the Computer-Assisted Examination (CAEX); and 9) Admission Slip and Official Receipt issued by the NAPOLCOM Regional Office for the April 26, 2020 PNP Entrance Examination.

Police applicants, on the other hand, with temporary appointment must bring a certified true copy of Attested Appointment, Plantilla Appointment or Special Order.

After completing the application process, Casurao said applicants will be required to proceed to the examination room located at the 20th Floor of the same building to take the three-hour examination. Only 15 examinees will be accommodated per examination day. The Certificate of Eligibility or Report of Rating will be given personally to the examinee after the examination.

Examinees who failed in the NAPOLCOM CAEx shall be allowed to take the same exam after three months.

“The NAPOLCOM reserves the right to deny any examination application should there be lacking requirements and violation of examination and health guidelines/protocols,” said Casurao.

The PNP Entrance Examination is open to all Filipino citizens who are bachelor’s degree holders and not more than 30 years old. Police Officers (PO1/Patrolman/Patrolwoman) whose appointments are temporary for lack of appropriate eligibility are also required to take the PNP Entrance Examination.

Only applicants with normal body temperature (up to 37.5 degrees Celsius) and with no other symptoms like sore throat, cough, colds, runny nose and nasal congestion shall be allowed to enter the premises.

They will be required to accomplish the Health Risk Assessment in the Revised Visitor’s Slip and wear a face mask and face shield prior to entry. Examinees should wear plain white shirt, dark pants and shoes during their scheduled appointment/examination date. Those who are not in the prescribed attire will not be allowed to enter the examination center.
