‘Remnants of a Revolution’ to premiere at Sheffield Int’l Docu Festival

The documentary film “Remnants of a Revolution” is set to premiere at this year’s Sheffield International Documentary Festival.

In a Facebook post on Friday, the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) congratulated the production team.

“Congratulations Cha Escala and the ‘Remnants of a Revolution’ team! The SineSaysay and First Cut Lab Philippines 2019 project will be making its world premiere at the Sheffield Doc Fest this Sunday, Oct. 4,” the post read.

“Remnants of a Revolution,” directed by Cha Escala, follows the story of a founding member of the Communist Party of the Philippines in the final days of his life.

His son will ultimately discover his role in the dark period of the Party’s history.

The film festival is ongoing until Oct. 4 at Showroom Cinema and online until Oct. 15.
