Lloyd Cadena’s mom speaks up for the first time since her son died from Covid-19

Since vlogger Lloyd Cadena died on Sept. 4, the family has been quiet online. It was only yesterday that his mom Lorita released a video in her own YouTube channel Mother Kween to clear everything once and for all.

Apparently, people have been using her name and spreading rumors about their family. “Hindi magandang gamitin ang pangalan ko (It is not nice to use my name). This is the first time, kasi may nababasa ako na nagsasalita ako . May nagdadala ng pangalan ko. Irespeto naman ninyo ako (I read news that I had been speaking up. Someone is using my name. Please respect me),” she says. “Sana naman matakot kayo sa karma. Isa lang ang Facebook account at YouTube account ko (Beware of karma. I only have one Facebook and YouTube accounts).”

It was the first time she released a statement. She started the video by thanking everyone, especially Lloyd’s friends and followers. She also reassured their followers that they all took the swab test which was done in their home. “Sa awa ng Diyos, all negative naman. Maraming salamat sa mga prayers ninyo at sa pamilya ko (Thank God that we’re all negative. Thank you for all your prayers for my family),” she says. “Sana maintindihan naman sa lahat. Hindi kami tumatanggap ng visitors sa bahay for the sake sa inyo at sa amin (Hope you understand we are not accepting visitors for your sake and ours)—for safety reasons.”

She also admitted that it had been really hard to accept the loss of her son Lloyd. “Nasa stage pa kami na hindi pa namin matanggap (We are at a stage that we haven’t accepted what happened),” she admits. “Although mahirap sa family, hiram ko lang naman si Lloyd (Although it’s hard for the family, I only borrowed Lloyd from God). Sana gawin ninyong inspirasyon si Lloyd nung nandito pa siya sa lupa (I hope you would be inspired by Lloyd when he was still here on earth). Tularan ang kanyang kabutihan (Try to emulate his goodness).”

Lorita ended the video by reminding her followers not to go out as often. “Huwag kayong aalis alis kung saan saan (Don’t go out just because). Hindi natin alam kung hanggang saan itong pandemic natin (We don’t know until when this pandemic will be). Kaya stay at home and always pray (That’s why we should all stay home and always pray).”
