This was clarified by Tourism Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat when asked about certain documents required by local air carriers when traveling to Boracay.

The Tourism chief said a negative result from a real-time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT -PCR) test at least 48 to 72 hours prior to travel would suffice.

Visitors are also required to accomplish online health declaration forms and confirmed accommodation bookings prior to check-in.

The Department of Tourism (DoT)-Western Visayas also advised travelers to keep the tourist QR codes which were developed to access services in Boracay Island.
