The website of the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) was defaced and the story about the Philippine government’s partnership with Facebook for high-speed broadband infrastructure was replaced with a warning asking BCDA to fix its website security.

Facebook recently trended in the Philippines because of the PH president’s threat to ban the social media giant in the county. Facebook last week has taken down networks which according to Nathaniel Gleicher, Facebook’s Head of Security Policy has violated Facebook’s policy against coordinated inauthentic behavior (CIB). Among those taken down were pages and accounts that the president believes to be legitimate accounts that fight against the propaganda of the Nation Democratic Front (NDF) of the Philippines and its armed group, the New People’s Army (NPA).

The hacker as of this posting is still controlling the website changing the content several times in the last hour.
