Police on Monday said it arrested the leader of a Quezon City-based gun-for-hire group in Agusan Del Sur after about three years of hiding.

The Quezon City Police District identified the suspect as Marlon Serabia, 44, the alleged leader of Serabia Criminal Gang reportedly involved in gun-for-hire, illegal drugs, and extortion activities.

Serabia was arrested by the municipal police of Rosario, Agusan del Sur and was turned over to the QCPD on Sunday.

Police did not say how Serabia’s whereabouts were discovered, although it said that “during drinking spree with buddies and friends,” the latter would “often brag” about his involvement in the killing of two individuals.

Serabia went into hiding in Barangay Santa Cruz in Agusan del Sur in 2017 after he was tagged in the killing of a retired policeman and a kagawad in Barangay Greater Fairview in Quezon City, police said.

Serabia is now facing two counts of murder charges before the Quezon City Regional Trial Court.
