The Home Development Mutual Fund or Pag-IBIG Fund, Department of Education, Land Bank of the Philippines, Philippine National Oil Co., and Development Bank of the Philippines were among the Top 10 most visited agencies at the recent 2020 Government Online Career Fair (GOCF) organized by the Civil Service Commission (CSC) and Jobstreet.com.
The CSC noted that the most viewed jobs or occupations were administrative positions and that around 161, 442 job applicants or 71 percent of the individuals who registered were able to supply their complete information for job application in government.
"A total of 225,838 individuals registered for the online event; however, 161,442 were able to completely generate a Personal Data Sheet (PDS), a requirement for job application in government,” it said in a statement, noting that the GOCF hosted a total of 7,831 jobs from 705 participating government agencies.
The Commission noted that the virtual job fair raked in 5,801,842 total visits, 270,926 of which were visits from unique individuals.
“Even if the 2020 GOCF has ended, a large number of government vacancies continue to be posted on the CSC website at www.csc.gov.ph/career,” it assured the public.
Citing the data sent by Jobstreet.com, the CSC said the top 10 Most Viewed Jobs were Administrative Assistant, Data Encoder, Administrative Assistant III (Secretary II) (Internal Audit Service), Staff Officer II, Administrative Assistant II, Staff Officer I, Administrative Assistant I (Secretary), Engineer II, Administrative Assistant II, and Revenue Officer I (Non-Assessment).
"All are first level or administrative/clerical positions, except for Engineer II and Revenue Officer I (Non-Assessment) which are second level or technical/professional positions,” it noted.
Also in the Top 10 most visited agencies were the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), Land Registration Authority (LRA), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Region 10, and Department of Transportation (DOTr).
The GOCF was held from Sept. 14 to 18.
