Rufa Mae Quinto now a few steps closer to being a green card holder

Rufa Mae Quinto couldn't help but be grateful that she "finally completed" all the things she needed for her green card application.

"Amen," she wrote on Instagram, posting a photo of a pile of papers.

"Go go green Card! Todo na to! Winner dinner habang super paper works," she added.

According to the official website of the Department of Homeland Security of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, the green card, officially known as the Permanent Resident Card, allows people to live and work permanently in the United States.

Rufa together with her American husband Trevor Magallanes and their three-year-old daughter Athena are currently stranded in the USA following the implementation of protocols due to COVID-19.

It was October last year when she and her daughter applied for US citizenship.
