Kuya Germs mobile app to help discover talents

The memory of German "Kuya Germs" Moreno lives on as his son Federico Moreno is set to launch a mobile application dubbed Supershow app that will help discover or book talents.

“This app is one way of continuing my father’s legacy in helping the industry by helping talents get bookings and discovering new ones.” Federico said.

Supershow app is a platform for discovering and booking talents. How does the app work? To be part of this app, you need to audition first. You can be a soloist, group, sing, dance, model, play your favorite music instrument, create your TV commercial VTR at home, show your party act, etc.

Follow these steps: 1) Create your 1 minute audition material; 2) Upload your video on YouTube; 3) Attach the link (copy & paste) in the sign-up form together with your details; 4) Click on the "SUBSCRIBE" button. They will contact you after they review your material.

If you passed the audition, then you can be part of the pool of talents non-exclusive on Supershow app.

The Supershow app came sometime in early 2019 when Federico was asked by one of his friends to help in finding a wedding singer.

Federico told them that he would get back to them and make some calls. To his surprise and being in the entertainment industry, he was not able to find one based on the availability, date and budget that they wanted. Then he asked himself, “Why is it so complicated and hard to find one?” That was Federico's “light bulb moment”.

He started doing research by asking different sectors in society. From parents needing clowns or magicians for their children’s party. Casting agents in need of television commercial models. Wedding planners looking for wedding hosts and singers. Bar owners in need of bands and lounge singers. Other event organizers in need of talents and performers. He found out that everyone had the same problem. This is how the Supershow App came about.

Federico also invited Manila Mayor Isko Moreno, who is like a brother to him and one of Kuya Germs’ protegees, if he could be a part of the project. Isko accepted the invitation.

The mayor told Federico that it is his way of giving honor to Kuya Germs and giving support to news talents.

As the entertainment industry celebrates Kuya Germs' birthday on Oct. 4, the Supershow app is now pooling for talents who can be a part of the team! Talents can now submit their 30 seconds to 1-minute video material by visiting www.supershow.app.

Also joining the project is Jose “Jomag” Magsaysay Jr., Chairman Emeritus of Potato Corner. “With Supershow app, we cannot wait to connect gifted individuals for the right job/event at the right time and make everyone happy.”
