Nueva Vizcaya records 2 deaths, 45 new COVID-19 cases


NUEVA VIZCAYA – The office of Governor Carlos Padilla reported on Friday two deaths, and 49 new coronavirus disease (COVID19) cases.

Provincial Health Officer Dr. Edwin Galapon said the confirmed deaths were a 62-year-old male from Osmena, Solano, and a 68-year-old male from Careb, Bagabag.

Galapon also clarified that the 45 new cases were reported as a result of the follow-up testing of contacts of confirmed cases.

Among the new cases were seven minors aged two to 17 years old, while the oldest was 62.

Those found positive were from the towns of Bagabag, Villaverde,Aritao, Bambang,Solano, Quezon and Bayombong.

Solano Mayor Eufemia A. Dacayo received P500,000-financial assistance from Padilla, which was intended as augmentation fund to help the town cope with the sudden surge in COVID-19 cases.
