MDSW Director Re Fugoso said members of the department bought necessities for Tan as she continues to stay at the city's rescue facility.

The elderly woman was rescued by the MDSW following reports from concerned citizens earlier this month.

Ephraim Tan Yap (her nephew), Emerita Decilio (a sampaguita vendor tapped by Yap to bring Tan to an elderly care facility 0, and Rogelio Espino (a tricycle driver) were all arrested and charged for abandoning Tan.

They were slapped with charges for violation of Article 275 of the Revised Penal Code or the Abandonment of Persons in Danger.
