Alaska coach Jeffrey Cariaso got a memorable birthday present over the weekend after his wife Erika Padilla gave birth to their second child.

Estella Gloria Cariaso was born in the wee hours of Sept. 12 at the Medical City, the same day the Aces bench tactician turned 48.

“Introducing to you my BEST birthday gift ever,” Cariaso said on his Instagram account shortly after Estella Gloria’s birth.

June Mar Fajardo, Mark Barroca, Marc Pingris, Jeron Teng, Jimmy Alapag and Deanna Wong and actress Jodi Sta. Maria were among those who congratulated the couple.

“Thank you all for the kind messages. Glorious day to bring this heaven-sent gift back home to the rest of the family,” Padilla said Monday on her Instagram account.

Cariaso’s children Aya, a member of the Ateneo women's volleyball team, and Jet were also ecstatic upon seeing their baby sister for the first time.

Having a new member in the family should inspire Cariaso as he continues to help Alaska prepare for the possible resumption of the PBA season next month.
