Pangilinan said Duque thus joins other key officials in the Duterte administration freed of punishment for acts while in office.

He made the observation after it became known that the Task Force Philhealth report submitted by the Department of Justice did not recommend any sanctions against Duque.

These are Faeldon in both BoC and Bucor, Lapeña in BoC, the Tulfos in DoT, Aquino in the NFA,  Laviña in NIA, Aguirre in the DoJ, Albayalde and Sinas in the PNP and so many others,’’ he said.

“And now, Duque (ex-officio chairman of the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (Philhealth) board . The list of corrupt and incompetent untouchables under this administration is getting longer,’’ he added.

Pangilinan, president of the Liberal Party (LP), said “condoning corruption, illegality and incompetence will only lead to more corruption and incompetence.’’

On Duque’s exoneration, Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque said “this is only the beginning’’ as other investigations by bodies like the Office of the Ombudsman continue.
