Individual exercises now allowed at Pinaglabanan Shrine

Individual exercises are now allowed at the Pinaglabanan Memorial Shrine in San Juan City, but group exercises are still prohibited.

Mayor Francis Zamora said the historic shrine is now open for activities such as jogging, running and other forms of individual exercises during general community quarantine (GCQ).

“All you have to do is follow mandatory safety measures and health protocols such as wearing a mask and face shield and practicing physical distancing with the people around you,” Zamora said.

“Remember, group exercises are still prohibited, especially gatherings of more than 10 people,” he added.

The five-hectare memorial shrine is located near the San Juan City Hall. Before the lockdown, people frequently visit the shrine to exercise and hangout.

The national government allowed outdoor non-contact sports and other forms of exercise such as walking, jogging, running, and biking in areas under GCQ.
