Six shows featuring Kapamilya stars are among programs that will be airing on TV5 soon.
A report published on ABS-CBN said this is made possible with Brightlight Productions securing block time slots with the Manny Pangilinan-led network.
According to the same report, the aim of the partnership is to reawaken "Filipino TV viewing habits that may have waned in the past few months of crisis.”
Titles that viewers could expect airing on TV5 soon include "Laugh Out Loud," which is a noontime show hosted by Billy Crawford, Alex Gonzaga, K Brosas, and Wacky Kiray with Star Magic’s Johnny Manahan sitting as producer.
The 72-year-old Mr. M will also wear the director's hat for a “Sunday noontime variety show” featuring Piolo Pascual and Catriona Gray.
On the other hand, Edgar Mortiz is set to direct “Sunday Kada Kada Sunday,” while director Dan Villegas will be working with the likes of Beauty Gonzales, RK Bagatsing, and Yen Santos on the romantic-drama series “I Got You.”
There's also the reboot of Korina Sanchez's "Rated K," which will be known as “Rated Korina.”
