PBA: TNT KaTropa says retiring Kelly Williams left training bubble without notice

TNT KaTropa remains in the dark as to why Kelly Williams decided to leave the training bubble and eventually announce his retirement without informing the team.
Team manager Gabby Cui said Williams has not communicated with TNT management ever since he left the training bubble in Laguna last week.
He added that the KaTropa only learned of Williams’ retirement when the 13-year veteran announced his decision through his social media accounts.
“Kelly Williams left our training camp on Sept. 2 without any notice or explanation until now,” Cui said. “He has not reached out to us ever since. We learned about his decision to retire via social media only.
“He is AWOL (absent without leave),” added Cui, whose team had recently completed a two-week training bubble at the Inspire Sports Academy in Calamba.
TNT was the only team to hold a bubble since PBA teams were allowed to resume training under strict health protocols.
