Cemeteries in Valenzuela closed from Oct. 30 to Nov. 3

All public and private cemeteries in Valenzuela City will be temporarily closed to the public from October 30 to November 3, this is according to an order issued by Mayor Rex Gatchalian.

This is to prevent mass gatherings that might lead to further spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

The order reads that anyone, except senior citizens and individuals aged 21 below, who intends to go to cemeteries to pay respect for their departed loved ones may do so before or after the said days.

The city's public information office said the city council will soon pass an ordinance that will set measures regarding the order and impose penalties against those who will violate the order.
