Vlogger Lloyd Cadena passes away at 26

We bid farewell to one of the funniest and most quirky YouTuber in the Philippines

Pinoy YouTube sensation and Instagram star Lloyd Cadena drew his last breath, as confirmed from a post in his official Facebook page.

Earlier today rumors of Lloyd’s death went viral. It was only this afternoon that the family and friends of the content creator confirmed the news.

Ang hirap tanggapin kasi napaka buting kaibigan ni Lloyd sa amin (It’s hard to accept because he was a kind friend to us),” says fellow YouTuber Mark Averilla or Macoy Dubs in a video recently released.

“Deserve niya lahat ng success dahil napakabuti niyang tao. Kabibili niya lang ng car, kakapagawa niya palang ng bahay for his family (He deserved all his success because he was a good person. He had just bought a car. He had just built a home for his family). For now let’s pray for his soul,” added the content creator famous for his persona Aunti Julie.

Earlier today rumors of Lloyd’s death went viral. It was only this afternoon that the family and friends of the content creator confirmed the news.

Lloyd was one of the country’s top YouTubers. He first established his LloydCafeCadena YouTube channel in 2011, the content of which back then was mostly cooking, unboxing, and challenge videos.

Before his rise to fame, Lloyd majored in Financial Management at Colegio de San Juan de Letran-Manila after previously attending Olivarez College. He was also an author and radio jockey at iFM 93.9 Manila.

His YouTube channel now has more than five million subscribers, thanks to his witty, relevant, and on-point content. In May 2018, YouTube gave him a Gold Play Button award for surpassing one million subscribers.

The hoax that circulated online earlier on the day of his passing claimed that the vlogger died due to cardiac arrest and Covid-19.

There has been no official statement yet from the family as of writing.
