Jimmy Sablon of Barangay Robles, La Castellana town, who was charged for frustrated murder, and Ramonito Ventura of Barangay Buenavista, Murcia town, who was charged for robbery, bolted out of the jail by cutting the steel bar of their respective dormitories.

Sr. Insp. Norberto Miciano Jr., jail warden, said their escape was discovered two hours later.

Five jail officers were on duty at that time, but failed to notice the two PDLs sneak out of jail, he added.

Miciano said a manhunt operation is ongoing, adding that they already have a lead on the PDLs’ whereabouts.

He said the jail is giving a cash reward of P10,000 to any informant for the arrest of each escapee.

He said they are still investigating if the jail officers had lapses at that time.
