The first three legs of the 10-leg Alaska Fortified IRONKIDS Virtual Run series fired off over the last three weekends to jumpstart the “Keep Fit At Home” program.

Angel Faith Quidasol (12 minutes and 50 seconds), Satriani Lorenzio Alcantara (00:12:20) and Rafael Jopson (00:12:02) ruled the 3-kilometer classes in Legs 1, 2 and 3 to spearhead the list of winners.

Other winners in the first leg were Maria Celinda Raagas (2K), Asael Aman (1.5K) and Marcus Aldrie Ubungen (1K), while the second leg saw Zurielle Kenzie Galo (2K), Elizza Maureen Ecalla (1.5K) and Fraizer Ygot prevailing in their respective events.

Isaiah James Lipayon (2K), Marcus Aldrie Ubungen (1.5K) and Glad Kornelius Romaguera (1K) triumphed in Leg 3.

“We are overwhelmed with the turnout of participants for this year’s race,” shares Princess Galura, GM for Sunrise Events, Inc. “We wanted to continue our advocacy of encouraging health and fitness among kids that’s why we decided to shift this year’s event to the digital space in light of the COVID-19 crisis.”

The remaining legs will be held in the next seven weekends.

Organizer Sunrise Events Inc. also partnered with Alaska Fortified in publishing weekly online episodes on fitness and nutrition headed by race director Ani De Leon-Brown.

Joining the online episodes in the future sessions will be veterans August Benedicto, and Australians Sam Betten and Dimitry Lee Duke.
