Big-time drug pusher killed in shootout in Davao Sur


DAVAO CITY -- An alleged big-time drug pusher was killed during a buy-bust operation in the town of Magsaysay, Davao del Sur on Wednesday afternoon.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) 11 identified the slain suspect as Allan Bagna-An, 38, resident of Trento, Agusan del Sur. Recovered from the slain suspect were about 51 grams of methamphetamine hydrochloride locally known as shabu worth P765,000.

The operation was conducted on Wednesday at around 1:30 p.m. in Purok 2, Barangay Dalawinon. Bagna-An, sensing that he was transacting with an anti-narcotic operative, engaged authorities in an exchange of fire. Bagna-An was declared dead on arrival at the hospital where he was rushed to. The vehicle that he used in his illegal drug transaction is in the custody of the Magsaysay Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.

The operation was conducted jointly by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, Magsaysay Municipal Police Station, Provincial Intelligence Unit, Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, and the Davao del Sur Provincial Mobile Force Company of Davao Sur Police Provincial Office.
