3 medical frontliners in Lingayen contract COVID-19


LINGAYEN, Pangasinan -- Three new cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) were reported here among medical frontliners.

Mayor Leopoldo Bataoil said the three new cases are asymptomatic.

Bataoil has started the practice of identifying the gender, age, and home address of COVID-19 patients to help in the contact tracing.

The Municipal Health Office (MHO) said the infected health workers took the reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) tests which yielded positive results.

The first and second patients are female and residents of barangay Baay here. The third patient is a 30-year-old male from Brgy. Poblacion.

The MHO and the Department of Health are already conducting contact tracing .

Bataoil has also ordered the decontamination of the houses of the patients.

He reminded the public to take the health protocols seriously and to stay at home.(Liezle Basa Inigo)

CAPITAL TOWN OF Pangasinan records 3 medical frontliners positive of COVID-19

PANGASINAN-----Frontliners also feared for their lives as they are expose to patient of coronavirus disease COVID-19.

In the capital town of Pangasinan, Mayor Leopoldo Bataoil was transparent identifying those infected with COVID19.

 He believed that identiying their gender, age and resident will help in contact tracing.

Three new COVID-19 cases were recorded in Lingayen town, the Municipal Health Office (MHO) announced Wednesday night.

According to the MHO, the 3 new cases are all medical frontliners and are asymptomatic .

Their Reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test results from a private hospital showed that they were positive for the SARS-CoV-2 virus. caused by COVID-19 disease.

The first is a 28 year old and a 35-year-old woman ,both resident of barangay Baay and a 30-year-old man from Brgy. Poblacion.

But still waiting for another result of his swab test from the ITRMC under the DOH Opcen.

The MHO and DOH are already conducting contact tracing .

Mayor Leopoldo N. Bataoil has also ordered decontamination at the house of the patients.

Bataoil reminded the public to take health protocols seriously and stay at home when there is nothing important to do outside.
