25 Filipinos abroad added to DFA’s COVID-19 tally

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Tuesday reported 25 new confirmed COVID-19 (coronavirus disease 2019) cases and 15 new recoveries among Filipinos abroad. 
 
No new fatalities were recorded in its latest tally.
 
The new confirmed cases and recoveries were reported from the Americas, Asia and the Pacific, and Middle East. 
 
As of August 25, 2020, the total number of COVID-19 cases involving overseas Filipinos is 10,028. Of the total, 3,257 are live cases or overseas Filipinos still undergoing treatment, 6,029 have recovered,  and 742 succumbed to coronavirus infections.
 
“The DFA, together with its Foreign Service Posts, continues to partner with host governments to ensure the safety and well-being of Filipino nationals abroad amid the pandemic,” the foreign affairs office said.
