The Bureau of Customs at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport has destroyed three tons of unsafe items in Trece Martires City, Cavite.
These were expired food, dietary supplements, and medicines which were imported without the necessary Food and Drug Administration (FDA) permits; and potentially hazardous used cellular phones which were also imported without NTC clearances.
They have been abandoned and overstaying in cargo warehouses for a long time.
