“#SineWikainChallengeis a social media challenge meant to remind Filipinos about childhood teachings while also providing positive content and values that could uplift us amid the pandemic,” the FDCP said in a statement on Thursday.

The FDCP said the participants may select any of the 100 salawikain in the list provided and creatively interpret into a short film shot on their mobile phones in a portrait mode. Each short film must contain a maximum running time of two minutes.

According to the FDCP, the various salawikain tackle a broad number of topics about life, love, family, friendship, and character development.

The challenge will have two categories depending on the participant’s age, an adult category and youth category for those aged 17 and below.

The participants of the short film challenge will have the chance to win P15,000 for the 1st place winners in both adult and youth categories, P10,000 for the 2nd place winners, and P5,000 for third place.

The winners of the challenge will be announced on Sept. 23, through the FDCP’s official social media pages, as well as on the Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino and Sine Sandaan pages.
