The coding scheme has been recommended to be enforced at the market due to the high volume of people entering its premises which may result in the further spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

In Executive Order 43, residents of selected barangays are allowed to enter the public market only on their scheduled days.

Residents of the following barangays are allowed at the market on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays: Pinagbuhatan, Kalawaan, Caniogan, San Antonio, Bambang, Pineda, Bagong Ilog, San Joaquin, Kapitolyo, Buting, Sagad, Sta. Cruz, Kapasigan, Oranbo, and San Miguel

Meanwhile, residents of the following areas are allowed at the market on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays: Manggahan, Rosario, Santolan, Sta. Lucia, Maybunga, San Nicolas, Ugong, Dela Paz, Palatiw, Sto. Tomas, Malinao, Sumilang, San Jose, Bagong Katipunan, and Sta. Rosa.

The mega market will be closed on Mondays for disinfection.

Residents will be required to present a proof of residence such as barangay certificate, identification cards, or quarantine pass before entering the market.

“There is an urgent need to implement a coding scheme in the market for the purposes of limiting the residents from different barangays inside its vicinity and to properly comply with the policy of social distancing and prevent the proliferation of COVID-19 within the jurisdiction of the City of Pasig,” the order stated.
