Senator Panfilo M. Lacson, chairman of the Senate national defense and security committee, is all riled up — and blame it on a Chinese beauty product company.
This company tagged Manila as a province of China.
“Why don’t we gas up our jet ski boats and all together ram that goddamn beauty product company which tagged Manila as a province of China, starting from Manila Bay all the way to Binondo Estero?’’ he asked in a Twitter post.
“Better if the owners are inside,’’ he added.
Manila Mayor Isko Moreno is also seething at this ‘’insult’’ and threatened to deport the Chinese nationals who reportedly imported the beauty product.
The Philippines continues to protest alleged territorial intrusions on the country’s maritime territories after the United Nations Arbitration Court dismissed in 2016 China’s ‘’historical’’ claim over most parts of the South China Sea.
