Twenty-five new confirmed COVID-19 (coronavirus disease 2019) cases and 16 new recoveries among Filipinos abroad were recorded in the latest figures submitted by the different foreign service posts, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said on Tuesday.

The cases and recoveries were recorded in the Middle East/Africa and Asia and the Pacific regions.
No new fatalities related to COVID-19 were included in the latest report.
To date, the Middle East remains as the region with the most number of confirmed COVID-19 cases among Filipinos abroad, including daily new cases, recoveries, under treatment, and fatalities.
In comparison, Asia and the Pacific region records the lowest numbers in all categories, except in the total number of recoveries, where the Americas rank last with only 454 recoveries.
Meanwhile, the Philippine Embassy in Doha has repatriated 323 displaced Filipinos, including two infants, through a chartered Philippine Airlines flight from Qatar.
The DFA-funded flight also included three pregnant women and eight families.
