Man takes a video of himself doing nothing and the world goes crazy over it

The inspirational video got two million views—watch it now

A lot of people have become content creators during the global pandemic. It’s because a vast majority of us are mostly online now. But it’s not exactly a walk in the park to gain success and virality on the internet. The road to success is paved with failures. Be that as it may, some creators manage to gain fame and success with little to no effort, much like this Indonesian YouTuber who recently posted an inspirational video that will blow your mind (or not).

YouTuber Muhammad Didit, who boasts 28,000 followers on the video-sharing platform, shared a video on July 10, which easily garnered more than 2 million views. His ingenious idea was to upload footage of himself sitting idle for hours. Lav Diaz is shaking.

The video titled 2 JAM nggak ngapa-ngapain literally translates to "2 hours of doing nothing," and that’s exactly what he did. Talk about a different level of performance art.

“Maybe I should tell you a little about the reason behind this video. It all started with a lot of pressure from some elements of Indonesian society lately who asked me to create content that would educate young people. Finally, with a little bit of heavy heart and compulsion, I made it–BOOM. But if you talk about the benefits of the video, it is up to you the viewers, who need to be clever and filter it out. I hope that you will like the video and will be entertained,” Muhammad wrote in the description of the video.

Viewers have been trying to interpret the video and make out what Muhammad was doing through those two hours. Others took note of how many times he blinked.

There are so many questions about this video, but one thing’s for sure, it’s an idea out of the box and it’s trending.

What do you think is the message behind it?
