DAVAO CITY – Basilan Representative and Deputy Speaker Mujiv Hataman and his wife Isabela City Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman have tested positive for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
“Last Thursday po, nagpaswab po kaming dalawa ni Mujiv kasi nagkaroon kami ng slight fever, 38, pinakamataas na pong fever namin was 38.1,” MayorHataman shared over a video message she posted on her Facebook account on Saturday.
Mayor Hataman said the swab test results came back on Friday, and it showed that they were both positive with COVID-19.
In his statement on Saturday, Rep. Hataman said they thought they were only experiencing a common cough when they decided to undergo a test for COVID-19.
Rep. Hataman added that they were awaiting the results of the test of their children, and the other members of their household in Basilan.
The official also said that while they have followed safety measures strictly, they still got the infected.
Hataman added.
