The Navotas Fish Port Complex (NFPC) will be temporarily closed on Saturday for general cleaning and disinfection.
The NFPC management on its Facebook page announced Wednesday that Market Halls 1 to 5 will be closed starting 1 p.m. of Saturday, August 1, and will open to the public Sunday, August 2 at 1 p.m.
"Ang nasabing aktibidad ay mahalagang hakbang sa pagpapatupad ng safety at preventive measures sa Navotas Fish Port Complex (NFPC) upang makasigurong malinis, ligtas at maiwasan ang pagkalat ng COVID-19 sa fish port at mapangalagaan ang kapakanan ng lahat ng pumapasok dito ," the management said.
The fish port is also looking for volunteers to do the general cleaning and disinfection. Those interested may reach out to the Food Safety and Environmental Management Unit of the NFPC through contact number 0922889650.
"Ipinakikiusap sa lahat ng may establisyimento sa loob ng NFPC ang pagtalima sa mandatong 'Tapat Ko, Linis Ko' at ang paglalagay/pagtatalaga ng basurahan sa inyong lugar ," it furthered.
