The Information Security Officers Group (ISOG) is hosting a two-day virtual summit on July 29 and 30, titled I AM SECURE 20/20: Sharpening Your Vision Beyond Information Security.
This serves as a platform for sharing practices on how companies around the world are creating fail-safe security environments while operating in the digital space away from physical offices. It is in this light that ISOG’s leadership intends to share a clear 20/20 vision of the developing new normal, anchored on the four Es (Engage, Establish, Equip, and Empower) espoused by the organization. This engenders what ISOG believes to be essential for corporate survival in these times.
ISOG was founded by Chief Information Security Officers (CISO) and senior information security practitioners from different financial institutions with membership comprised of information/cyber security professionals. During the summit, leaders from local and global organizations will share how a culture of ironclad information security can be achieved despite enforced work-from-home scenarios and strict social distancing rules for the workforce.
The virtual summit is reaching out to C-level Executives, to include CEOs, CROs, CIOs, CISOs and others. These senior decision makers can acquire much needed knowledge that will guide them, as they steer their respective organizations through the requirements of the times. Likewise, other special sessions have been prepared to address the changes brought about by the need to protect oneself in the current situation.
Breakout sessions are intended primarily for the information/cyber security professional. This aims to equip practitioners with the information, knowledge and skills they need to be guardians of information security in the battlefield, now referred to as the new normal. These serves as the new weapons in their arsenal that would allow them to keep moving forward, keep still or even move sideways, but never backward.
“What’s App Doc?” acknowledges that medical practitioners are now in the forefront of society’s war against the COVID-19 virus pandemic. However, these doctors need to protect themselves as they are gaining more exposure to the cyber world. Thus, the session is meant to introduce them to the means with which to protect confidential information under their care.
“For Art’s Sake” is designed for artists, wherein basic information and knowledge on how to protect data as well as securing various types of digital entertainment platforms will be provided. It also answers, how artists and talents can safeguard confidential information.
Cybersecurity Fundamentals will be discussed with I.T. Students as the primary target audience. This is directed towards expanding the horizon of students in the area of information technology security. Information and knowledge towards protecting information technology assets, will be provided based on the speakers’ experiences.
The virtual summit has been segmented according to target audience, with C-Level executives having access to all sessions. Most important, registration to all the sessions in the I AM SECURE 20/20 is free-of-charge for all target participants.
