LeBron James called for justice for Breonna Taylor in a postgame news conference after the Los Angeles Lakers lost to the Dallas Mavericks at the start of the NBA bubble at Disney World in Orlando, Florida.

Taylor was gunned down last March by plainclothes policemen raiding her home in Louisville, Kentucky. Her death has been condemned by many in the United States and many have taken up support for her.

ESPN columnist’s suspension nears end

More “Woj” bombs are coming.

The suspension of Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN ends Friday and he will probably be seen and heard of at Disney World.

However, Wojnarowski, who was canned for a profane email to a senator,   will undergo the usual quarantine for seven days once he gets to Orlando.

Still a long way to go for Becky Hammon

Becky Hammon, the San Antonio Spurs lady assistant coach, took over from a masked Gregg Popovich in their game against Giannis and the Milwaukee Bucks at the Disney World bubble.

However, she failed to lead DeMar Derozan and the gang to victory, losing by 21, 113-92.

This isn’t probably the last that we will be seeing Hammon vice Popovich, the US men’s basketball team head coach.

Spurs assistant coaches – including Tim Duncan – will guide the team in three exhibition games before debuting in the regular season bubble against the Sacramento Kings.

The son of Manute Bol also rises

Manute Bol’s son Bol Bol earned not just praises but also a random drug test following a stellar performance in a scrimmage against the Washington Wizards in Orlando.
