Santa Rosa Community Hospital's temporarily closure extended; dialysis center also halts operation

The temporary closure of the main building of the Santa Rosa Community Hospital (SRCH) has been extended to August 2, the city government announced on Tuesday (July 21).

The main building has ceased operations since July 10 after several health workers tested positive for coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

Hospital operations were supposed to return back to normal on July 24. However, the hospital administration decided to push it back as some workers are still waiting for the results of their COVID-19 tests.

Along with the main building, the SRCH Dialysis Center will also halt its operation. The center's 13 regular dialysis patients will be given referrals and endorsed to another healthcare facility. The city government will shoulder the costs of their treatment during the temporary closure of the Dialysis Center.

SRCH workers who tested positive for the virus are currently admitted at the hospital's Medical Arts Building. Those waiting for their COVID-19 test results, on the other hand, are either staying in an isolation unit or quarantined at home.
