Rhian Ramos revealed her boyfriend changed her perspective on long-distance relationship.

In an interview, the actress confessed she used to think such a setup doesn’t work.

"Long-distance actually is one of the things na sinabi ko when I was younger na never, ever kong gagawin. Sabi ko it complicates everything, mahihirapan lang ako. If I find out na I'm gonna have to have a long-distance relationship with someone, hindi ko na lang itutuloy, 'wag na lang," she said.

Until she met Israeli boyfriend Amit Borsok.

"But actually, my current boyfriend, Amit and I, sa long-distance relationship kami nagkakilala. Because I met him here in Manila kaso lang I was going to fly to New York for six months," Rhian shared.

"So nu'ng nakilala ko siya dito, sinabi ko na agad sa kaniya na wala akong time kasi 'yung natitira kong oras dito, gusto ko i-spend du'n sa mga taong mahal ko kasi I'm gonna miss them. I don't have time to get to know someone new then leave.'"

Amit gave him space, they became just friends---and that worked.

"Usually doon mo ako makukuha eh. 'Yung panliligaw medyo na-o-awkward ako. If you take me out on very formal dates I feel pressured. But if you become my friend and I get to know you, little by little in a not romantic setting, 'yung personality mo talaga 'yung makikilala ko, mas effective 'yun for me," she related.
