Mandaluyong holds expanded COVID testing in Addition Hills


Mandaluyong City conducted an expanded community testing (ECT) in Barangay Addition Hills Sunday to determine who among its residents were infected with the virus and provide them with the prescribed health intervention.

“Nagsagawa muli ng ECT sa Barangay Addition Hills kung saan may mataas na bilang ng COVID-19 sa lungsod (expanded community testing was again held in Barangay Addition Hills where there is a high number of COVID-19 cases),” the city government said.

City Public Information Office chief Jimmy Isidro said around 500 residents of the said barangay were subjected to a free swab test.

The testing which was held at Addition Hills Integrated School is in coordination with the Department of Health (DOH), Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), Filinvest, and Philippine Red Cross (PRC).

Those who will test positive for the disease will be immediately placed under isolation and undergo would quarantine.

Barangay Addition Hills has a total of 267 confirmed cases of COVID-19, 94 active cases, 159 recoveries, and 14 deaths as of July 19.

The village has the most number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Mandaluyong City.

On June 29, the city government subjected about 750 residents of Block 39 and 40 in Barangay Addition Hills to mass testing using polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test.
