Rizal provincial gov't launches online appointment system for COVID-19 testing

ANTIPOLO CITY - As 44 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 were added to Rizal province's tally, the provincial government announced on its Facebook page an online registration system for its COVID-19 rapid and swab testing.

The Rizal provincial government is now discouraging walk-ins, as those who want to be tested for COVID-19 must use the COVID-19 Testing On-Line Appointment/Booking System to register. (from Rizal Provincial Government Facebook page/MANILA BULLETIN)

Interested individuals are required to register on-line using the COVID-19 Rapid Test Appointment System at https://www.facebook.com/RizalFreeCOVIDTest/.

Once at the site, they should click the ‘Book Now’ button and choose the desired schedule of testing. Acceptance of booking is from Monday to Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

They will also be asked for their complete name, address, contact number, and valid identification card to prove they are a resident of Rizal Province.

They then wait for the message confirming that the online booking is successful. The same confirmation message will be their ticket when they show up on the appointment date for the COVID-19 testing.

The provincial government is now discouraging walk-ins as a measure to prevent the converging of people at the Provincial Capitol compound testing area.

The provincial government is also appealing to its residents who had travel history and exposure to a confirmed COVID-19 case to immediately call the Provincial Health Office Hotline Numbers 0905-908-2635 or 0938-838-7508 or the Municipal Health Office that has jurisdiction over their area.

As of July 14, the province recorded a total of 1,253 confirmed cases, including 482 active cases distributed all over the province.
