P4.76-M shabu seized, woman nabbed in QC

Joint elements of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) on Tuesday seized some P4.76 million worth of shabu and arrested a female suspect during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Pasong Putik, Quezon City.

In a statement released  Tuesday night by PDEA spokesperson Derrick Carreon, the suspect was identified as Mary Grace Marcos, 42.

Marcos was arrested by the anti-narcotics operatives at around 4:00 p.m. along Belfast Avenue, QC and 700 grams of high grade shabu was confiscated from her.

In a report to PDEA Director-General Wilkins Villanueva, team leader Cham Sulit of PDEA Quezon City District said Marcos who is a resident of Tala, Caloocan City is a member of the dreaded “Kabayo drug group’’.

Sulit noted that Marcos was finally arrested after several months of intense surveillance.

Marcos is now detained at the PDEA Regional Office National Capital Region Jail Facility and is facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Drug Act of 2020.
