It will be another hot and humid weekend for the Philippines as the warm easterly winds coming from the Pacific Ocean is seen to prevail in the next few days.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Wednesday said the whole archipelago will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies in the morning with chances of isolated rain showers in the afternoon or evening.
Forecast temperatures in the next three days will be 25 to 34 degrees Celsius in Metro Manila; 25 to 36 degrees Celsius in Tuguegarao City; 17 to 25 degrees Celsius in Baguio City; 26 to 33 degrees Celsius in Legazpi City; 25 to 32 degrees Celsius in Cebu City; and 24 to 34 degrees Celsius in Davao City.
The hot and humid weather may still spark isolated rain showers and thunderstorms, which may sometimes become severe or intense, especially in the late afternoon or early evening.
Severe thunderstorms are often associated with bursts of heavy rainfall, lightning, thunder, and gusty winds that usually last up to two hours.
PAGASA thus advised the public to take necessary precautions as flash floods or landslides are likely in areas that are highly-susceptible to these hazards.
However, weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said PAGASA does not see the formation of a low pressure area or tropical cyclone near or within the country's area of responsibility in the next three days.
PAGASA on Wednesday has not issued a gale warning across the country's coasts thus fisherfolk and seafarers are safe to sail.
Slight to moderate seas, except during thunderstorms, are expected over the entire archipelago.
