MARIVELES, Bataan-Proclaiming "Divine intervention" in his life, Virgilio Ignacio, owner of the Seafront  Shipyard and Port terminal services, has been helping the community, feeding the poor and building two churches worth approximately P30million in Barangays Lucanin and Alion  in this town after overcoming his very severe ailment diagnosed as cancer of his throat.
Saying it was a miracle that saved his life, Virgilio Ignacio has been a Good Samaritan, along with his son Carlo, doing good turns for people in this town and the province of Bataan.
Bataan folk cannot express fully their  joy except to hail the company owner, together with his son Carlo Ignacio, who now manages the company, for their continued  commitment in providing a yearly feeding program for  poor folks  in the community.
Talking to this writer, Barangay Captains Jesselyn Empeño of Lucanin and Carmelita Adame of Townsite said that the feeding programs of the Ignacios benefit around 2,000 folks here each year. The young Ignacio is now

The two barangay officials dubbed the  Ignacios as more than philanthropists for  extending free medical missions, donating  barangay churches and constructing  barangay roads, among others.
"Ang saya ng pakiramdan mo kapag nakakatulong ka sa iyong kapwa," (You feel happy if you are helping the people), the young Ignacio told this writer.
Empeño and Adame said that their barangays are lucky with the putting up of the Seafront Port here as they are benefitting not only in terms of employment but also in medical programs, feeding for the barangay  children, among others.
The two barangay heads lauded the Ignacios for their being philanthropic, saying "di ka maiilang na lumapit sa kanila kapag humihigi ka ng tulong dahil sila  mismo ang haharap sa ‘yo."
