Davao Region has 31 additional COVID-19 cases


DAVAO CITY - The Department of Health Davao Center for Health Development reported 31 new cases of coronavirus disease starting July in Davao region bringing the total number of cases to 565.

The DOH Davao said as of 5 p.m. Wednesday, 19 more cases were reported from Davao City, seven from Davao del Norte, and five from Davao de Oro. It said out of the 565 COVID-19 cases, 165 cases are still active.

The youngest patient is a 14-year-old girl from Barangay 23-C in Davao City, while the oldest is a 66-year-old man from Calinan district here. Both of them are asymptomatic.

The 31 new cases were among the 401 people who were tested for the coronavirus disease (COVID-10) on Wednesday.

The DOH said eight more people have recovered from the disease. The total number of recoveries is now at 367 while the number of deaths is at 33.
