The OVP, through its flagship anti-poverty program Angat Buhay, responds and provides relief and rehabilitation services to Filipinos affected by typhoons and other calamities.
Since its inception in October 2016, the program was able to extend assistance worth P85.6 million for disaster relief and rehabilitation.
Just last year, the OVP provided relief and rehabilitation services amounting to P35 million to typhoon victims, including relief packs worth P9.8 million for those affected by Typhoon Ompong in Nueva Ecija, Mountain Province, Benguet, Cagayan, Bulacan, La Union, and Pangasinan.
